Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a qualifying exam, conducted twice a year. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). CTET is a national-level test for candidates with B.Ed. degree or Diploma in Elementary Education from any recognized institute/college. CTET is the basic eligibility requirement for teachers recruitment in government schools under Centre government, State government or Union Territory administration and private schools or colleges.

CTET Exam Pattern

CTET exam consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) per paper carrying 1 mark each.There is no provision of negative marking in the exam.
The exam is conducted for two papers:

Paper 1 :for Primary stage teaching from class I to class V
Paper 2 :for Elementary stage teaching from class VI to class VIII
If candidates interested they can appear in both papers.



The CTET Exam was conducted in two categories that are Preliminary Stage (Class I to V) is called paper-I and Elementary Stage (Class VI to VIII) is know as paper-II.
